Monks' Meadow Cottage consists of a wing of a traditional stone-built
farmhouse, with beams and tiled or polished wooden floors.
The cottage has been tastefully furnished throughout with antique pine
furniture and brass beds.
The cottage has oil-fired central heating, providing ample warmth in the
coldest of conditions; additionally, there is an immersion heater, and
all rooms have electric fires.
Accommodation consists of:
1 double bedroom, with wardrobe, dressing table radio and teasmade.
1 twin bedroom, with wardrobe, dressing table, radio and teasmade.
Fully fitted bathroom, with bath, shower, toilet, basin, towel rail,
ample storage space. Cleaning materials and toilet paper are provided.
Traditional lounge, including three piece suite, colour TV, radio/cassette,
games, local maps and books.
Modern kitchen/diner, well-stocked with china and kitchen utensils.
Also including double electric oven, microwave oven, food mixer, washer/dryer,
dishwasher, fridge, ironing board and iron. Powder, cleaning materials
and paper towels are provided. There is also access to a freezer.
Large porch with sitting and storage area. In summer, outside patio
seats and table are provided.
Two wooden cots, high chair and play-pen are available.
Towels available at £1 per person supplement.
All bedding included.
Milk, eggs and other shopping can be ordered in advance.
